  • Evaluate strategies for establishing and reevaluating goals of care for a patient with heart failure (HF).
  • Develop a plan for adjusting guideline-directed medical therapy as HF progresses or end-of-life approaches due to another condition.
  • Design a treatment regimen to palliate symptoms in a patient with HF.
  • Assess when a consult for palliative care should be placed for a patient with HF.
