Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the diagnosis, etiologies, and overall supportive management of a patient with cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS).
  • Analyze the mechanisms of CRS, ICANS, and other side effects seen with various immune-related interventions, including CAR T-cell therapy.
  • Given a patient case, develop a patient-specific pharmacotherapy regimen for the management of CRS and ICANS.
