  • Assess principles and controversies involving initial resuscitation, including fluid status assessment, fluid selection, and vasopressor administration.
  • Evaluate the role of controversial adjunctive supportive therapies in sepsis and septic shock, including corticosteroids, vitamin C, and angiotensin II.
  • Given a patient case, develop a patient-specific pharmacotherapy regimen for the early management of septic shock.
