Andrea G. Roberson is director, quality and process improvement in ASHP's Accreditation Services Division. She joined ASHP as a lead surveyor in 2012. Prior to her employment at ASHP, Andrea practiced in a hospital setting for more than 20 years. She worked as a clinical specialist, clinical coordinator, clinical manager, and director of pharmacy. Most recently, Andrea was the pharmacy clinical manager at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Her duties included coordinating Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee activities, serving as program director for the PGY1 residency program, supervising the clinical specialist staff and nutrition support team, and serving as vice-chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the pharmacy member of the Joint Commission Steering Committee. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. Andrea completed an ASHP-accredited residency at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She served as the Education Committee chair and Governmental Affairs Committee co-chair for the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (GSHP) and was a GSHP presidential officer from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, Andrea received GSHP's Pharmacist of the Year award.
