Dr. Amanda Binkley is currently an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Residency Program Director for the PGY-2 Infectious Diseases at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Binkley earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. After graduation she went on to complete her Pharmacy practice residency and Infectious Diseases specialty residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Binkley’s current practice areas include antimicrobial stewardship, Infectious Diseases consult, Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy, and HIV/Hepatitis C ambulatory care. Dr. Binkley is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) and American Society of Health-system Pharmacists. Dr. Binkley serves on the AAHIVM board and co-chair of the AAHIVM Pennsylvania Steering Committee. Dr. Binkley’s research experience includes access to Hepatitis C therapy, mediation errors associated with antiretrovirals, antimicrobial stewardship interventions and utilization of clinical decision support tools for antimicrobial prescribing.
