Erin R. Fox, Pharm.D., MHA, BCPS, FASHP is Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer for Shared Services at University of Utah Health. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Fox earned a Pharm.D. at the University of Utah and completed a specialized residency in Drug Information at the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics. She and her team have provided drug shortage information for the ASHP Drug Shortage Resource Center since 2001.
A frequent speaker on drug shortages at summits and FDA meetings, Dr. Fox has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles related to drug shortages, including the ASHP guidelines on managing drug shortages. ISMP has awarded her the Cheers Award and ASHP the ASHP Award of Excellence for efforts related to drug shortages.
A strong advocate for calling attention to drug price increases, Dr. Fox has provided testimony for the Senate Aging and Homeland Security and Government Accountability Committees and has published an opinion article in the Harvard Business Review. She has also been recognized for advocacy efforts with the ASHP Award of Excellence and the Zellmer Lecture Award.
