Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

Lindsey Nolan is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist serving as an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinical pharmacist specialist at the UofL Health Specialty Pharmacy and Gastroenterology Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. She impacts patient care by working collaboratively with IBD specialists and through medication management, research, and teaching. Lindsey attended the University of Kentucky where she graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Administration. After graduation she pursued a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency with Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. Lindsey is engaged in improving patient outcomes through her research and practice initiatives. Her most recent research initiatives include studying the impact of ustekinumab drug levels on IBD clinical outcomes as well as investigating the impact of dual biologic and small molecule therapies on clinical outcomes in IBD patients. In addition to her role at her current practice site, Lindsey is dedicated to advancing the pharmacy profession through her professional involvement. She is a member of the Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists (KSHP) organization where she serves as co-chair of the Public Policy Committee. In 2022, she was awarded the KSHP New Practitioner of the Year award for her contributions to pharmacy practice. Lindsey is also involved at a national level through membership to ASHP and by serving on a Section Advisory Group.
