Nicholas Carris, PharmD, BCPS is an Associate Professor and the Division Director of Ambulatory Care at the USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy. Dr. Carris completed his doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Florida going on to complete a PGY1 residency (Pharmacy Practice) and a 2-year fellowship (Family Medicine). He has worked on pharmacy service lines in hospitals, transitions of care, community pharmacies, and primary care offices. Over the past sever years he his practice has primarily addressed polypharmacy, medication adherence, and the deprescribing of opioids and benzodiazepines. Recently, he helped lead pharmacists at USF Health transition to telehealth during the initial surge of COVID-19. Through this, he helped develop multiple, billable, pharmacy services.
