Montez currently serves as President and CEO of Trinity Health of New England, which encompasses five hospitals, a multispecialty medical group, home health care/hospice services, retirement community, ambulatory care centers, and a Clinically Intergraged Network.
Montez joined Trinity Health of New England as President and CEO in 2022 after serving 12 years at St. Mary’s Health Care System, also a member of Trinity Health. During his tenure at the Athens based Gerogia ministry, Montez served in various leadership roles including Regional President and CEO, President of Good Samaritan Hospital and President of St. Mary's Athens Hospital.
Before coming to St. Mary's, Montez spent over a decade at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, MS, where he served as clinical coordinator of pharmacy services, director of pharmacy services, and associate director of performance improvement and patient support services. Montez earned his doctoral degree in pharmacy from the University of Mississippi, and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama. He is a board-certified fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Montez currently chairs the Region 4 Policy Board for the American Hospital Association (AHA) and also serves as a Trustee for the AHA Board. He is a past chair of the Georgia Hosptial Association.
