Daniel Chastain is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy on the Southwest Georgia Clinical Campus and serves as the Infectious Diseases Pharmacist for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. He received his PharmD from South University in Savannah, in 2012, and subsequently completed a PGY-1 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and a PGY-2 in infectious diseases at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He is recognized as an HIV Pharmacist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine and is a board-certified infectious diseases pharmacist. His teaching, research, and patient care activities focus on infectious diseases pharmacotherapy with emphasis on invasive fungal infections, HIV, and vulnerable populations.
