Director of Clinical Pharmacy
Premise Health
Kaitlyn Galan, Pharm D., is the Director of Clinical Pharmacy for Premise Health. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Doctorate of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacy manager for Walgreens in a community practice setting for the next 10 years. She then shifted to a Walgreens-operated employer-contracted community based site with a strong emphasis on value-based contracting and utilizing pharmacists as a part of a patient's primary care team. She is a certified immunizer and earned Advanced Training Certificates through APhA in Travel Health Services and Patient-Centered Diabetes Care. She has concentrated more recent education on behavioral health, earning a Psychiatric Certificate from the Arizona Pharmacists Association as well as a Pharmacogenomics Certificate from ASHP. In her current role, she co-chairs the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee for Premise Health and actively participates in other interprofessional committees, such as Grand Rounds, Clinical Education, and Quality Improvement. Kaitlyn also has a passion for teaching and training. She is an APPE preceptor for the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a PGY2 residency preceptor for the University of South Carolina's Community Administration and Leadership program. Her most recent accomplishment was speaking at the 2023 PQA Annual Meeting, with the presentation titled "Population Health Strategies to Improve Health Outcomes and Reduce Medical Costs in the US Employer Group Sector."
