Brianna Nelson is the PGY2 Community Based Pharmacy Administration and Leadership resident at Premise Health- Southwire Family Pharmacy, where she serves as one of the clinical pharmacists on the Condition Management team. In this role, Dr. Nelson helps to improve clinical outcomes in patients with chronic disease states. She received her bachelor's in chemistry from Georgia Southern University and completed her PharmD at Mercer University College of Pharmacy. Brianna is passionate about arming patients with knowledge to foster patient independence regarding health outcomes and serving the underserved. She recently won a grant from the American Pharmacists Association Foundation for her research in Assessing Barriers to Medication Adherence in Patients Participating in a Pharmacist Led Diabetes Management Program with Waived Copays.
