Christine Martinez-Vigil, RPh PhC is Director of Pharmacy Services at El Centro Family Health (ECFH) in Northern New Mexico. She obtained her BS in Pharmacy from University of New Mexico and licensure as Pharmacist Clinician. She participated in ASHP Foundation traineeships for Anticoagulation Management Services and Diabetes Care. Part of her time with ECFH is spent as a pharmacist practitioner focusing on anticoagulation management, asthma, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension services. She has been involved with various projects that have supported the integration of a pharmacist practitioner into the healthcare team and demonstrated improvements in clinical outcome measures. The projects have included Bureau of Primary Healthcare Clinical Pharmacy Demonstration (2001) and Patient Safety and Clinical Pharmacy Services Collaborative (2009). In 2013, she was the provider involved with a grant received from American Lung Association to expand asthma management in primary care through enhanced medication management and spirometry testing and interpretation. Currently, she is involved with a Health Resources and Services Administration project reaching out to patients with a dual diagnosis of Diabetes and Hypertension. She is a member of ASHP and ADCES.
