Angela Cheng-Lai, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP
Angela Cheng-Lai is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Montefiore Medical Center located in Bronx, New York. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Montefiore Medical Center. A prolific author of over 60 book chapters, research papers, and review articles, Dr. Cheng-Lai is co-editor of Current Cardiovascular Drugs, 3rd and 4th editions, a contributing author for the textbook Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapeutics, and pharmacology section editor for the journal Cardiology in Review. In addition, Dr. Cheng-Lai is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM). Dr. Cheng-Lai is a winner of the SAMUEL M. ROSEN award for outstanding teaching and an elected member of the Leo M. Davidoff Society at AECOM in recognition of her distinguished, caring and committed teaching of medical students. She is also a past winner of the prestigious President’s Award at Montefiore Medical Center. Further, Dr. Cheng-Lai is an active member of the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP), assuming various leadership roles in this organization. She served as the Director of Communication Services from 2018 to 2021, President from 2022 to 2023, and is the current Immediate Past President of NYSCHP.
