John D. Hill, PharmD, MS, BCPS is currently the Director of Medication Use Systems and Automation at The Johns Hopkins Health System. A native of Missouri, John received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC). He completed a 2 year Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. John received his Master of Science degree in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). John has been highly involved in ASHP, serving on the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders, the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology, and has served as Chair of the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee. Dr. Hill was the recipient of the 2020 ASHP New Practitioners Forum Distringuished Service Award. He was also recently elected to the Maryland Society of Health-System Pharmacy Board of Directors and as an ASHP Delegate for the state of Maryland. His areas of interest include health data analytics and visualization, pharmacy operations and automation, pharmacy productivity metrics, and mentorship.
