Cait Gibson, PharmD, MEd, BCCP, BCPS is an Associate Professor and Director of Experiential Education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. She earned her PharmD from the University of Texas at Austin and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the VA North Texas/Texas Tech School of Pharmacy followed by a PGY2 in Internal Medicine at Indiana University Health/Butler University. She also has a Masters of Education in Higher Education from the University of North Texas. Since completing her training, Dr. Gibson has worked as clinical faculty in the areas of internal medicine and cardiology. Her primary areas of teaching are venous thromboembolism and cardiac arrhythmias. She has published in the areas of anticoagulation, cardiology, cultural sensitivity, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Gibson is an active member of ACCP and AACP. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Cardiology Council for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
