Dr. Teresa Isichei Pounds is the current president of the Nigerian Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Scientist Association (NAPPSA) also the Founder/ President of West African Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (WASPEN). She is residency program director and preceptor at the international pharmacy practice residency program with WAPCP also CEO of Clinipahrm Global Health Limited. Dr. Pounds received a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and her PharmD from Mercer University; she completed her post-doctoral residency at Georgia Baptist Hospital, which later became WAMC. She holds an academic appointment at South University.
Prior to serving as a consultant, Dr. Pounds served as the Program Director of the Pharmacy Practice Residency program and Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Pounds is also an adjunct Professor at Mercer University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
She has over 20 years of work experience teaching and mentoring pharmacy and medical students, clinical practice, research, and community service. Dr. Pounds serves as a preceptor for Mercer University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Medical College of Georgia, University of Georgia, South University, Xavier University, and Florida A & M University. Dr. Pounds has published and presented at national conferences on clinical pharmacy, nutrition-related topics and is an expert on various topics in nutrition support and infectious diseases.
