Kelly E. Caudle, Pharm.D., Ph.D., FCCP is the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) Director and Senior Program Manager for Pharmacogenomic Resources and Engagement at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She received her Pharm.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed a pediatric residency at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. Over the past ten years, Dr. Caudle’s research and practice interests have been in pharmacogenomics, and she has written over 100 publications and abstracts and has numerous invited national and international presentations for this work. She currently serves as the Principal Investigator for an NIH grant that supports CPIC. CPIC provides guidelines that enable the translation of genetic test results into actionable prescribing decisions for specific drugs. To date, CPIC has published 26 gene-based clinical guidelines covering 25 genes and over 100 drugs. Dr. Caudle oversees all CPIC-related projects and the CPIC guideline development process including the coordination of the guideline writing committees, the guideline evidence reviews, and the writing of the guideline manuscript and supplement. She recently received the Precision Medicine World Conference 2023 Luminary Award (recognizes the recent contributions of prominent figures who have accelerated Precision Medicine into the clinic) and since 2019 has been listed as a Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher. Furthermore, Dr. Caudle is involved in the clinical implementation of pharmacogenetics at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
