Scott Janiczak a Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) in the U.S. Public Health Service, Commissioned Corps, who serves as a safety evaluator in the Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology’s, Division of Pharmacovigilance at FDA. In this role, he works with multidisciplinary scientific review teams throughout the FDA to evaluate adverse drug events detected during postmarketing surveillance activities. He is a subject matter expert in adverse events associated with pulmonary and allergy products. Prior to this position, he completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with the Franciscan Health System in Hammond/Dyer, IN and worked as a regulatory affairs pharmacist for 6-years within FDA's, Office of Generic Drugs. LCDR Janiczak obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy; and holds board certification in Pharmacotherapy from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties and a Master's degree in Public Health from New Mexico State University, with a concentration in health management, administration, and public policy.
