Elizabeth Bentley, MSJ, PharmD, BCPS is Director of Inpatient Pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente – Northwest (Portland, Oregon), with oversight of pharmacy practice at Sunnyside Medical Center and Westside Medical Center. She was Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at Kaiser Permanente – Northwest for 6 years, which included anticoagulation, pain management, transitions of care, specialty care, and other ambulatory care programs. Liz is the Co-Lead for the Kaiser Permanente Northwest Controlled Substances Stewardship Workgroup and sits on several organization-wide committees devoted to similar work. Her team received an ASHP Best Practices Award for "Medication Use Improvement through a Team-Based Approach to Opioid Stewardship." She earned her PharmD at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. Liz completed her PGY-1 Residency at NorthShore University Health System and a PGY-2 Residency at Kaiser Permanente. She also holds a master’s degree in Journalism form Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
