Benjamin Hohlfelder, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, is a Critical Care Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic. His clinical practice is centered in the cardiothoracic surgery ICU, including patients undergoing heart and lung transplant, ventricular assist device implantation, and mechanical circulatory support. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He is board certified in both Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy. Areas of research interest include anticoagulation in mechanical circulatory support, management of pain, agitation and delirium, and vasoactive medication management following cardiopulmonary bypass. Most recently, he has served as faculty for the 2022 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, 2022 ASHP Literature Studies modules in Pharmacotherapy, 2020 ASHP Critical Care Core Therapeutic Modules, 2019 ASHP Literature Studies modules in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care, and presented for the Intensive Studies session at the 2018 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.
