Medication Safety Officer – Pediatrics

Mallary Biros, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS was promoted to Pediatric Medication Safety Officer at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital (RBC) in May 2022. From July 2013 to May 2022, she was RBC Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Clinical Pharmacy (PICU) Specialist. Her interests include sedation and analgesia, infectious diseases, and medication safety. She is a lead safety coach for RBC and in recent years has been nominated for both the Sally Shipley Award and the Rainbow Babies & Children's Foundation Margaret Marting Trustee Award for Excellence. She has worked with the PICU team on guideline development and protocol updates, as well as providing regular education for the medical residents and fellows. Mallary is also the residency program director for the ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency program at Rainbow.
Mallary Biros obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Miami University and a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from Campbell University. Prior to joining RBC, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and a second year Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified in Pharmacotherapy and Pediatric Pharmacotherapy.
