Shawn Griffin, PharmD, BCOP is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was hired as a founding faculty member within the new Doctor of Pharmacy Program and is currently developing both didactic and experiential courses for student pharmacists. Griffin also practices as a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist within the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Program at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center where he has worked to create new pharmacist-provided clinical services. He previously worked as a Hematology/Stem Cell Transplant pharmacist at Indiana University Health for five years. Griffin received his BS from Boston College and his PharmD from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. After graduation, he completed a PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital. Griffin's research interests include investigating the role of pharmacists in clinical practice and optimizing the dosing of oncology-related medications in special populations.
