Megan Musselman, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, DPLA, FCCP, FASHP practices in the emergency department at North Kansas City Hospital. North Kansas City Hospital is a level II trauma center and has >100,000 emergency department visits annually. She developed emergency medicine clinical pharmacy services at her institution and is the PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program Director. In her daily practice, she commonly encounters emergency medicine practice issues and ways she can increase pharmacy presence within the emergency department. Megan is actively involved in departmental and health system committees where she has developed and implemented multiple protocols and quality initiatives impacting patient care in the emergency department. Research areas include rapid sequence intubation, neurocritical care, and toxicology. In addition, she precepts students, PGY1, and PGY2 residents on their emergency medicine rotations. She has also served on the ASHP SAG on Emergency Care for 5 years, ASHP Emergency Medicine Network Facilitator from 2013-2015, SCSS Director-at-Large from 2020-2022, and an active member of the ASHP SAG on Clinical Leadership from 2021-2023.
