Jamie Michaels, MS, RDN, CDCES is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with over fourteen years of experience in providing nutrition education, counseling and program development. Jamie graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She then received her Master of Science in Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University and completed her dietetic internship at the Louis Stokes Veterans Affair (VA) Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation, she began working full-time as a clinical dietitian at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. Continuing her VA career, she transferred to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in 2010. During her time in Ann Arbor, Jamie has held various roles, including Clinical Dietitian, the Diabetes Program Coordinator, and Clinical Associate Chief. Currently, she is the Chief of Nutrition and Food Services. Jamie is passionate in diabetes education and research. She has a strong desire to improve the quality of care and education that is provided to the Veteran population.
