Thanh Tu currently practices as a pharmacist and pharmacy program coordinator on the pharmacy leadership team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Tu received her Bachelors's in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduation, she attended the University of California, San Francisco, where she graduated with a PharmD in 2019. She then pursued post-graduate residency training in acute care at the University of California, San Diego followed by post-graduate residency Year 2 in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Tu's goal is to ensure that there is a safe landing for patients, no matter what phase of care they're in. In her current role, Dr. Tu is intimately involved in medication safety, transitions of care, pharmacy strategic planning, and advocacy. Dr. Tu is a coinvestigator in two multicenter research studies. She worked collaboratively with other participating institutions to analyze results from the multicenter study evaluating the impact of having pharmacy professionals obtain an accurate medication list for high-risk patients being admitted to the hospital, which was subsequently published in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacists. Additionally, Dr. Tu is currently collaborating with investigators from several hospital systems to evaluate patient access to multiple myeloma therapies that are currently in a limited distribution network.
