Amanda Stick, PharmD, MPH is a 2016 graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy. Following graduation, Amanda completed her PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Allegheny General Hospital and earned a Master’s in Public Health Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. During her time as a resident she supervised the controlled substance vault and developed diversion prevention strategies. Amanda currently serves as the Automation Operations Manager for the Central Pharmacy of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In this role Amanda oversees the daily replenishment of over 300 automated dispensing stations and a 24-hour cart fill for 800 adult inpatient beds with an average of >1,900 doses dispensed daily. During her time as operations manager she has been involved in serval major projects including; pharmacy renovations, the installation of new medication carousels, implementation of pharmacy workflows and automated dispensing station upgrade. Amanda’s primary areas of interest are automation, employee engagement, and professional development.
