Dr. Emily Christenberry is a Clinical Associate Professor with The University of Texas at El Paso School of Pharmacy and Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency. She is a graduate of Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis. She then completed her PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency with an emphasis in Family Medicine and Academia with the The University of Texas at El Paso and University of Texas at Austin Cooperative Pharmacy Program and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center-El Paso. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacotherapy. Her practice site is at a county, safety-net hospital with the inpatient family medicine team. Her practice and teaching interests include nephrology, liver disease, and medication optimization and deprescribing in older adults. Her research interests focus on assessment in pharmacy education and health disparities in Hispanics.
