Dr. Yuh Lih Chang is the director of pharmacy department, Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH) in Taiwan, and has over 30 years of hospital pharmacy practice experience serving as clinical service and management roles.
Dr. Chang earned his B.S. degree from National Defense Medical Center and then served as a clinical pharmacist in several specialty fields including internal medicine, pediatrics and critical care. In 2001, he got Ph.D. degree in pharmacology at National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung (YMCT) U niversity. In 2008, he visited School of Pharmacy, University of Washington, Seattle, to explore pharmacy education, clinical pharmacy service models and pharmaceutical care related research. Dr. Chang is devoted to pharmacy education and research, served as an associate professor at school of pharmacy, YMCT University. His research interest includes clinical pharmacy, clinical application of pharmacokinetics and regenerative pharmacology.
Dr. Chang is actively participating in international collaborations about mitigation of drug shortages and implementation of good pharmacy practice among Asian countries. By his leadership, TVGH has trained more than 150 pharmacist trainees from 14 different countries. He is currently the President elect of Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations, and the President of Taiwan Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He has been invited to share his expertise and experience both in hospital pharmacy management and related fields in several international conferences in last 10 years.
