Dr. Derek Gaul, Coordinator, Pharmacy Education at St Joseph's/Candler serves as an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director at Candler Hospital. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. He then completed a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Practice Residency at Greenville Health System: Greenville Memorial Medical Center in South Carolina. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and is a member of ASHP, ACCP, MAD-ID, and is the Southeast District Director for GSHP. He is BLS/ACLS certified, holds the Advanced Antimicrobial Stewardship certificate from MAD-ID and is board certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS)
