As Senior Director of Pharmacy for Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Hansen leads staff development and patient-centered practice advancement and advocacy for the Pharmacy Enterprise. She is responsible for fostering continuous workforce development to ensure high quality patient care and spearheads practice advancement as the health care environment transforms.
Dr. Hansen’s interests include professional development, expansion of pharmacy personnel roles, and quality assessments of pharmacy services. She serves as a practice advocacy and staff development preceptor for Cleveland Clinic’s Pharmacy Practice and HSPAL residencies as well as several schools of pharmacy.
Dr. Hansen is an active member of ASHP, the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP), and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Dr. Hansen is Director at Large-Elect for the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders (SPPL). Her recent contributions to SPPL include Chair of the Education Steering Committee and Chair of the Council on Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Hansen is Immediate Past President of OSHP. She earned her Fellow with ACHE in 2016 and Fellow with ASHP in 2021. She is completing work to become a board certified professional coach to support leaders from a variety of industries.

Dr. Hansen received her BS in Nutrition from Virginia Tech and her PharmD and MHA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her Pharmacy Practice and Infectious Diseases residencies at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
