Amy Gutierrez, PharmD, is the vice president and chief pharmacy officer for UCHealth, overseeing pharmacy practice, strategy and policy across this large Colorado health system. Previously, she had served as the senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer for Kaiser Permanente’s national pharmacy program, setting national strategy across all eight geographical regions. She has also served as the chief pharmacy officer for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, the second largest public health system in the U.S. Dr. Gutierrez obtained her doctor of pharmacy degree from the USC School of Pharmacy and subsequently completed a California Healthcare Leadership Fellowship and attended the Harvard Business School’s Executive Leadership program. She was appointed by California Governor Brown to the State Board of Pharmacy from 2012-2018, and served as the board president for three of these years. She is an adjunct assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at the USC School of Pharmacy and Chapman University School of Pharmacy.. She currently serves on the American Society of Health System Pharmacists’ Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance.
