Marjorie A Shaw Phillips, M.S.Pharm., R.Ph., FASHP, CIP is Pharmacy Manager (Clinical Research and Residency Program Excellence), Wellstar MCG Health (formerly AU Medical Center) at Augusta University and Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice (WOS), University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. A member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, her roles include clinical research pharmacy practice, oversight of 7 pharmacy residency programs, coordination of technician students and observers for the pharmacy department and serving as a Biomedical IRB Chair for the university. She was the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director from 2008-2020 after nine years as the Pharmacy Residency Coordinator.
After graduation from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY1/PGY2 with Masters in Hospital Pharmacy at UF Health Shands Hospital. Marjorie’s passions include performance improvement, medication safety and policy, postgraduate pharmacy residency training, mentorship and clinical research/human subject protection. She has served on the ASHP Board of Directors and as Chair of the House of Delegates, GSHP President, member of USP Safe Medication Use Expert Committee, FDA Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee. Marjorie is a long standing residency practitioner surveyor and Immediate Past Chair of the ASHP Commission on Credentialing. She has been lead faciliator for several of the Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Networking Roundtables and attending since the first IDS Networking group at the 1993 ASHP Midyear in Atlanta.
