Lindsey Childs-Kean, PharmD, MPH, BCPS is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She earned her PharmD degree from the University of Florida and completed a PGY1 residency at Tampa General Hospital and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System. Her teaching, research, and practice interests include infectious disease pharmacotherapy and the professional development of students and new practitioners. She established a pharmacist-run Hepatitis C clinic at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System prior to joining the faculty of UF. Her current clinical practice incorporates outpatient infectious diseases and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) with UF Health. She is an active member of multiple state and national pharmacy organizations. She has served on various ASHP committees, including the New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee, Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Preceptor Skills Development Advisory Group, Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Year-Round Educational Steering Committee, and Section of Pharmacy Educators Development of the Educational Workforce Advisory Group. She has also held leadership positions within the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Lindsey is a 2021 recipient of the AACP Emerging Teaching Scholar Award for her achievements in teaching and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
