Dr. Moorman-Bishir earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Charleston and completed PGY1 and PGY2 Drug Information residencies at the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, she served as the Coordinator of Drug Information and Medication Safety at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, and was a Drug Information Specialist at Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Moorman-Bishir is dedicated to the advancement of the profession of pharmacy. Throughout her career, she has maintained a focus on teaching pharmacy students and residents, other pharmacist, and health care professionals. In her current role, she teaches PharmD students principles of drug information and medication safety and coordinates all aspects of experiential education. Dr. Moorman-Bishir has also provided education services to ASHP, through the Board Certification and Review Courses, Core Therapeutics Modules, and Literature Review Series. Her service to ASHP has included membership in Section Advisory Groups, service on the Council on Education and Workforce Development, and several terms as a delegate. Her service to the Utah Affiliate Chapter has included membership and co-chairing the Program Committee and service as President.
