Rachel Chandra, PharmD, MPH, FASHP is a Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Her primary clinical responsibility is in Cardiology’s Heart Failure multi-professional clinic. Dr Chandra completed her PGY-1 Residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is a PGY-1 Residency Director, a program she initiated at the Dayton VAMC. She has responsibilities in medication safety, Ethics Consultation, and quality improvement initiatives in heart failure and health equity. She is currently the R&D Chair at the Dayton VA Medical Center and an IRB member at Wright State University. She has been a guest surveyor with ASHP.
Her recent contributions have been as a co-author for ASHP’s “Pharmacists Role in Public Health”; and VA Research and Operations to Combat COVID-19 inequities published in Health Equity. Dr Chandra is a Fellow of ASHP, past member on the Council of Therapeutics and an ASHP delegate. She is a past president of DASHP and incorporated ACPE pharmacy residents’ presentations at DASHP meetings. Dr Chandra desires to continue to expand her contributions to serve the profession and healthcare in a larger capacity to target health disparities with a focus on Pharmacoequity.
