Caressa A Trueman currently works as the Ambulatory Care Pharmacist in the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in 2019 and completed a PGY-1 residency in community pharmacy at Creighton and a PGY-2 residency in Ambulatory Care at Nebraska Medicine. After residency, she spent a short time at Nebraska Medicine's Specialty Pharmacy before being hired as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist at Nebraska Medicine's primary care clinics.
Dr. Trueman's research interests include the appropriate prescribing of high-risk medications and population health efforts to ensure the appropriate prescribing of risk-lowering medications in patients living with diabetes. Dr. Trueman is also actively involved in projects at Nebraska Medicine to improve prescribing and use of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in primary care. In addition to assisting with the PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program at Nebraska Medicine, she is also involved with both ASHP and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
