Alexandria Wingler, PharmD Candidate
I am currently a P2 student at Wingate University School of Pharmacy. Clinical interests include leadership & administration and ambulatory care pharmacy. I am in my third year as an intern at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist where I have had the opportunity to complete research and serve as the pharmacy internship research chair where I oversee all research completed by our 12 interns and coordinate our research boot camp. Research projects include: Resources and Medication-Assisted Treatment Provided to Patients with Drug-Use Associated Infective Endocarditis presented at North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP). Presented to the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) was another research study on Direct Oral Anticoagulants for Left Ventricular Thrombus. Lastly, I completed a professional presentation to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist which included Assessment of Pharmacy Learners’: Research Reporting Process. At Wingate University School of pharmacy, I served as the P1 Liaison for Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) and have been a student ambassador since my P1 year. In American Pharmacists Association (APhA), I am currently serving as Vice President of Policy where I have been able to grow my passion for legislation and advocacy earning a certificate in advocacy. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and look forward to growth both personally and professionally.
