Tangela D. Moore is a fourth-year pharmacy student at the Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She then completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. In her current role as a Harris Health System student pharmacist intern, she has been involved in several Quality and Process Improvement (QAPI) projects and research studies such as Optimization of High-cost Medication Procurement and Patient experience in an Academic Health System Infusion Center and Specialty Clinics, Insulin Utilization Optimization and Medication Waste Reduction. Tangela's areas of interests include oncology and pediatrics. On the campus of Texas Southern University, Tangela is an active member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA) and Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) where she served as the Professional Development Chair and Chronic Kidney Disease Project Keepsake Chair respectively. On a national level Tangela is actively involved in the Area Health Education Center Scholar (AHEC) Program.
