Michael Toraño is a fourth-year PharmD Candidate at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He is from Sugar Land, Texas. His clinical interests include cardiology, critical care, and infectious diseases. His professional interests include inventory management, process automation, and executive leadership. Michael currently serves as the Vice President of his class in pharmacy school, Co-Lead for the Longitudinal APPE Program at Houston Methodist West Hospital, and Lead Pharmacy Intern at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. He has previously served as the President of the Pharmacy Council and President/Founder of the Society for Sexual and Gender Disparities in Pharmacy at the University of Houston and was inducted as a member of the Rho Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma honor societies. Post graduation, Michael hopes to pursue a PGY-1/PGY-2 combined residency in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership.
