Nedra Geddes-McCarthy, BPharm is a third year pharmacy student at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Florida. She initially completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree, at the University of Technology, Jamaica in 2014. She is passionate about clinical Pharmacy and hopes to pursue a pharmacy residency in the Critical Care Specialty. Throughout her Journey at NSU, she has been privileged to serve in numerous leadership positions. Currently, she is very active on campus and within her community, where she is a part of NSU Inter-Professional Diabetes Education and Awareness (IDEA) Initiative and volunteers at Feeding South Florida. In addition, she has taken initiatives to pursue knowledge outside of her school curriculum to supplement her patient care skills, this is evident in her mental health aid and HIV health care provider certificates.
Recently, she contributed to the editorial for the American Pharmaceutical Association-Academy of Students of Pharmacy (APhA-ASP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Newsletters and Pharmacy Times. Additionally, she was inducted into Rho Chi Gamma Theta Chapter for her continuous academic success and Phi Lambda Sigma for outstanding leadership. Now, she works as a pharmacy intern and a group tutor while attending school.
