2022 PharmD Candidate
Purdue University
Nicholas C. Sethman is a 2022 PharmD Candidate from Purdue University. Directly after high school, Nicholas began the six year program at Purdue and will be graduating this upcoming May. He is most passionate about the future of ambulatory and community based pharmacy care and is increasingly interested in better integration of the health system at all practice levels. While in school, Nicholas worked in the outpatient pharmacy at Riley Hospital for Children and fostered a desire to educate and provide new services for his pediatric patients and their families. The research project that Nicholas will be presenting this year focuses on the creation of a Health Information Exchange tool to be used in community pharmacies to better assist pharmacists in interventions with their patients. His hope is that this research will continue into the trialability phase early next year and gain enough traction to integrate outpatient pharmacies with local health system to decrease gaps in workflow and increase patient care outcomes.
