The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy
Esther Albuquerque is a second-year pharmacy student at The University of Texas at Austin where she also attended undergrad. Her organization involvement includes being an active member of Rho Chi Honor Society, UT Student Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, and Student College of Clinical Pharmacy. She serves as a Texas Pharmacy Ambassador, Worthy Keeper of Finance for the Lambda chapter of Phi Delta Chi, and Pharmacy Liaison for the C.D. Doyle Clinic in South Austin. Esther’s professional work experience includes currently working on the pharmacy staff at CVS Pharmacy and St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Esther is working on a research project that explores both objective and subjective influencers of a pharmacy student’s academic success because she is interested in pursuing academia and educating future pharmacists. Her career aspirations include taking on a hospital residency after graduation to eventually specialize in critical care. She is excited about the potential of serving a patient’s acute and long-term health needs in a critical care setting. Esther aspires to become a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist so she can have a role in academia as well.
