Rutgers University
Srayant Gayam is a final-year PharmD candidate from the Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. He is presently involved with the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) as a National Student Officer for Scholarly Activities and formerly was a Site Visit Coordinator with the Rutgers Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) chapter in the prior academic year. On behalf of IPhO, he has led the development of three research projects focused on the evolving fellowship recruitment process and industry pharmacist job satisfaction. Additionally, Srayant collaborated with IPhO on a project describing direct-to-industry job opportunities for pharmacy students after graduation, with a fellow associated with the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship (RPIF) program to describe clinical trial demographics of Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine testing in COVID-19, and with Rutgers scientists researching the biomarker γH2AX acting in response to riluzole exposure in melanoma. Srayant's main interests are clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, and clinical development; he seeks to pursue postdoctoral fellowship opportunities in these functional areas in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation.
