Gaurav Pathak is a P4 student in the PharmD/MD dual degree program at Rutgers University. He has completed four rotations at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton New Jersey as a member of the Rutgers Knight Scholars program and completed a longitudinal research project as part of the program. He has extensive research experience, having partaken in the Rutgers Aresty Undergraduate research program for three years and having been a member of the PharmD Honors Research Program for two years. He has conducted genomic research at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology in plant biology and presented a poster on "The role of BSUf phosphatase and Bin2 kinase in regulating plant cell asymmetric division through different subcellular localizations" at the Aresty Symposium. He has also helped co-found the first Rutgers undergraduate research journal (RURJ) at Rutgers and continues to develop the program. He has previous leadership experience having served as the president of the pharmacy governing council (PGC) his P3 year and having been involved with student government for 5 years of school. He is actively involved in the community as he volunteers as an EMT in Plainsboro for 12 hours weekly. His areas of interest include precision medicine and pharmacogenomics and he looks forward to facilitating genomic clinical trials in the future.
