Zarin Chowdhury is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is currently a 6th year PharmD Candidate at St. John's University and works as an overnight pharmacy intern at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has additional experience as a pharmacy intern at Mount Sinai Hospital and CVS Pharmacy, as well as teaching experience at York College, STI Tutorial and for Rho Chi Pharmacy Academic Honor Society, at St. John's University. Her professional interests include Pharmacy Informatics, Geriatrics and Ambulatory Care. She has been involved in research since sophomore year of high school which include topics such as "Degradative Effects of Soft Drinks on Tooth Enamel", “Are Human Beings More Inclined to Experience Greater Positive Emotion from Touch or Sight Intervention?”, and "De-prescribing Intervention to Reduce Poly-pharmacy in 9/11 World Trade Center Responders." Additionally, she is a part of the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Dean's List (2017-Present). For professional affiliations, she is a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, American Pharmacist Association (APhA), Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP), Student Pharmacists Society of the State of New York, Inc., Bangladeshi American Pharmacist Association and Muslim Students Association. Her goal is continuous improvement and growth.
