Breann Prophete is a fourth year pharmacy student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia campus. She is a current member of ASHP and former President of ASHP- SSHP chapter at her campus. During her tenure as president, Breann created several programs to help with different charities, such as “Empty your pocket” aimed at collecting pocket change from students to send to March of Dimes, Residency week, to help facilitate preparation for residency, invited guest speakers that were able to educate students about the different areas of pharmacy practice. Recognizing her exceptional work, she received the Outstanding Student Leader of the Year award from her peers and faculty. In addition, She interned online by working with an international program (Global Brigades), where she provided assistance and clinical knowledge to help facilitate a clinic in Ghana. All the while keeping employment at a hospital and community pharmacy. This practical knowledge on the job training helps cultivate her interest in residency. Her passion is helping indigent communities receive access and education on medications and health care. She is hoping to pursue a successful career in ambulatory care.
