Claire Roell is a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. She served as the treasurer for the local SSHP chapter for two consecutive years. Claire has interests in ambulatory care practice and psychiatry. She participated in research at the University of Cincinnati evaluating a weight tiered, anti-Xa monitoring protocol for the use of enoxaparin in trauma patients.
Brandon Berkemeier is a final year student pharmacist at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He is currently employed at Bon Secour Mercy Health—West Hospital where he has 3-years of inpatient and emergency department experience. Brandon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2019, double majoring in both Biomedical Studies and Neuroscience. His undergraduate studies included research with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Anesthesiology Department—Pain Research Center, where he focused on Neuropathic Pain and Disorders of the Nervous System as well as Analysis of Behavior and Cognition in Non-Human Animals.
Claire and Brandon are working together to determine which patient characteristics may put a patient at risk for experiencing episodes of agitation.
