Alyssa Cox is a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy on the Jacksonville campus. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida Gulf Coast University where she obtained her bachelor's of science degree in biology. She currently is involved in various professional organizations including American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), Student Society of Health System Pharmacy (SSHP), PediaGators, and Kappa Epsilon-Beta Alpha chapter. She has held numerous leadership roles within these organizations as well as serving as a campus ambassador for the UF College of Pharmacy, Jacksonville campus. Alyssa has assisted in development of various research projects and is currently working on a paper for publication. She shows interest in completing a PGY-1 residency and a PGY-2 with interests including oncology, infectious diseases, and critical care. She recently received the "helping hand" award as well as being selected as "Gator of the Month" for her campus. Alyssa hopes to continue growing as a pharmacy professional by continuing to be involved in research, completing a residency, and sharing her passion for pharmacy with other pharmacy students.
