Pharmacy Student
Oregon State University College of Pharmacy
My name is Evita Santos and I graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in BioHealth Sciences and minor in Chemistry in 2019. I am currently a third year pharmacy student at Oregon State University/Oregon Health Sciences University. This school year, I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jon Furuno among others on research focusing on clinical outcomes among patients prescribed antibiotics upon discharge from the hospital to nursing homes. In addition, I currently serve as our college’s ASHP Student Chapter President. Through my leadership, I’ve had the honor of being awarded the OHSU Flame Award for International Service in recognition of my efforts in organizing some of the first COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Portland, Oregon. In addition, I am treasurer and member of Phi Lambda Sigma at my college and serve as a co-chair for our Leadership Development Program. Going forward, I have aspirations of applying for a PGY-1 residency after graduating and pursuing a PGY-2 in critical care. Overall, I am deeply passionate about the field of pharmacy and am excited to be a part of ASHP Midyear this year.
